ABOUT

ABOUT

Coomalie House was designed and built over a twenty year period by Ursula and Brian Blake, bringing together Ursula's love for the beautiful natural Australian environment and Brian's passions for the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. The stonework alone took years to carefully place so that the repetitive patterning was consistent throughout the house, this is a feature that is rarely found in buildings in Australia. The other consistent material in Coomalie House is the substantial Jarrah timbers used throughout. There are photos in the house of the original use of these timbers in a wool shed in WA which was home to them before they were transported to Coomalie.

Due to the Blake family's history of violin and cello playing and teaching, Coomalie has recently been a venue for small music concerts and is now available for holiday accommodation and as a wedding venue.

We hope that you enjoy all Coomalie has to offer.
